These terms are the agreement between you and LLantern for using llantern.com and the LLantern app. We've kept them short and in plain English. By creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
LLantern is operated by [Company legal name], registered at [registered address]. LLantern asks AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Overviews the questions you choose, and shows you how they talk about your brand.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. You’re responsible for everything that happens in your workspace, so keep access to that Google account secure. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract on behalf of yourself or the business you represent.
3. Plans, credits and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits. Every AI answer we collect uses credits according to the engine, as listed on our pricing page. Unused credits don’t roll over and reset on the first of each month.
When you upgrade, you’re charged the prorated difference right away. When you downgrade, the change applies at your next billing date. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use LLantern to break the law, to harass or defame anyone, to resell raw answer data as a competing dataset, or to probe, overload or reverse-engineer our systems. Don’t share your account across organisations to avoid plan limits. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.
5. Your data
You own what you put into LLantern: your brands, competitors, prompts and notes. You give us permission to use it only to run the service for you. The answers, rankings and reports we collect for you are yours to use, share and export. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
6. AI answers and accuracy
AI assistants change their answers often, and the same question can get a different answer minutes later. LLantern records what each engine said at the time of the scan. We don’t control those engines, and we can’t guarantee that any recommendation, brief or audit will change how they answer.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and we don’t refund partial months. You can also delete your account, which permanently removes your workspace, brands and scan history.
8. Liability
LLantern is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes and contact
If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. Questions go to hasnain@llantern.com.
